Sixty Second Test
How do you spend

a minute of time?

Do you fret or lament

over the past and its crime?

Do you weep for ten seconds

and worry for the rest?

Do you think of pure vengeance

when someone's been a pest?

Do you step across twenty more

thinking of danger?

Are you fearful of hate

or an unknown stranger?

Or do you dream maybe

of the things you can do?

Do you smile as you remember

a grin between two?

Do you look at the trees

and imagine they are living?

Do you spend thirty seconds

in prayerful thanksgiving?

No matter the time that you spend

in that space,

Realize its all moving

at a dizzying pace.

One half of that time

spend in woe or sorrow

Is really half of your life

that you won't have tomorrow.

So consider the thoughts

that consume your dear mind

And when you look in the mirror

that person, you'll find.
