Round Table Of Inwardness

i sit at a small round table
with lion feet.
Smooth with thoughts
my thumbs count hymns
in the empty spaces of my knowledge.
i count the rings of a dead tree
on the shinny varnished surface.
whorls of rings
stretch like entombed clouds
against my questioning fingers,
scribbling demarcations of the seasons
that this tree had seen.
unrecognized tears run unlamented
down the stairs of my eyes...

Turning Swaths splashing against cold walls
of passing time whispers for a moment
against the nexus of echoes
in the affinity of quietness.
i wonder as galaxies whirl within
the darkening sky with infinities of spaces
as planets pass in the twinkling of an eye to dust
i wonder who will count my rings of my synapse
or my worthiness to mark with words
the curiosities of inward moments
when i swim in oceans of forgetfulness
will my words turn around my passing
sentience like a nimbus
even my soul soars beyond the limitation of words...

...I for one will always count the whorls of your synapses...
As you can see, they leave etchings on others hearts never to fade away.

Beautiful my friend.  This one will always be a favorite of mine.
