We Still Remember
On September 11, 2001
The Sorrow and tragedy all begun
Children crying, women screaming
In your stomach there’s an empty feeling
Visions of loved ones fly through your head
And you pray to God that they’re not dead
The twin towers came down, everyone knows
You’re completely scared from your head to your toes
Your heart’s aflame with a burning anger
As you proudly sing out the Star Spangled Banner
Everyone is still showing they’re pride
We’ve finally realized it’s not something to hide
We still see red white and blue wherever we go
And that is just to let everyone know
That though years pass, we still remember
What they did, on that September
Author's Notes:
Fairly unlike me, this is the typical 9-11 poem. Had to write it for school, everyone seemed to like it so I posted it.
