For My Wife
I always used to wonder if there was love at first sight.
The night that I met you I found it to be right.
I knew right away that you would be my wife.
My love for you so strong that I would gladly give my life.
You are always in my dreams and always on my mind.
To say true love doesn't exist, one would have to be blind.
Now over twenty years later, I know that I still feel the same.
To all the world who will listen my love for you I proclaim.
Author's Notes:
This is dedicated to my loving wife who has stuck by me through the good times and remained by my side through the bad times. I love you babe.

What a lovely poem and what an amount of love comes across in it! Your love has stood the test of time and I know will continue to be there for each other. How very blessed you both are. Good for you.It gives me hope that even now, in this screwed up world, there is true love! xxx

After 20 years, this is incredible. To still remember how you loved her at first sight - something people so easily forget after life takes them in new directions. Congratulations to you and your wife for being the minority! Beautiful poem!

I have sampled your work Richard, you write from experience and emotion and they are the best friend to a poet. To truly love someone is optimistic love poem is always nice to read and even more special to receive, it looks like your lady liked it a lot and nothing I can say would top that.. I'll look for your posts.
