Justin And Me (A Children's Poem)

We spent the day in childhood play,

picked sunbeams off the floor

Ate red popsicles...

peanut butter and pickles

with jelly squeezed from a plastic jar,

little sandwiches

cut into triangles

We drew crayon pictures...

of stick men, stick women, stick dogs

and stick families

He knows I am no artist,

but, anyone can draw a smiley face

with legs

even me

I'd do anything

just to see him smile

Robots from Legos

Nemo on TV

Bubbles and butterflies, hide and seek...

Now, where did Justin hide?

Green eggs and cheese

Say thank you and please

We spent the day in childhood play

Just Justin...

My sweet Justin

and me
