Butterfly Wings

BUTTERFLY WINGS

Nothing sweeter than childrens' art
Little things that come from the heart
Crayon drawings to hang on the walls
Cute little cut-outs and paper dolls
Given with kisses, hugs and a smile
They're only small for a little while
Nothing sweeter than the joy it brings
When two paper hearts make
Butterfly wings

Mary F. Charest

For Josie

Author's Notes:
I wrote this one day when my granddaughter Josie made me a crayon drawing. There were two paper hearts, when unfolded turned into butterfly wings. I cherish that day.
