Three candles

Three candles
for those who will not rise or return
nor hear again the timely cockcrow.

Three candles
for the flowery horizons
yearned, laboured for and wouldn’t come.

Three candles
for agile cats who joyously will vanish
not seeing, not knowing, not learning.
