Wait For Me Lord

Wait For Me Lord

Wait on me Lord, Iím almost there,

Swallowing of pride, getting rid of fear.

For times I traveled, but never reached the peak,

Of the final destination in which I seek.

Iíve slipped and slide, my focused lost,

All the while you were paying the cost.

Took my eyes off of you, off the road I slid,

Confused and embarrassed, in sin I hid.

But you never let me wonder too far from your grace,

You carried me through every trail that I face.

But the days are numbered and timeís not my own,

For I have no say in the remaining days that Iíll roam.

Urgency and priorities I floundered in the past,

Wonít save my soul, if time was to pass.

Wait on me Lord, Iím almost there,

Few more burdens, I ask you to bear.

Couple more sins, Iím praying away,

Tiny little lies, Iím trying not to say.

Big games on today, Iíll go to church next week,

Iíll dust off this Bible, in your word I will seek.

Just give me more time, a week or two,

Lord, I promise then, Iíll live for you.

Promise, promises, promises, like a record on repeat,

The time IS NOWto fall at your feet.

I have no excuse, I have not time to wait,

To ask for forgiveness, beforeitís too late.

This is written by a humble heart. You can rest assured, He knows your heart and is pleased you seek Him. In His great wisdom and because of His endless love, He forgives you.
