Brothers
God created older brothers with a particular goal in mind,
Someone to guide you through the paces, luckily, you were
mine.
The bridge through troubled waters, the lighthouse on the
shore,
The shelter from the elements, the provider, and so much
more.
Brother, you have been that for me, never yielding in your
stance,
Oh how I wish I would have thanked you, when I had the
chance.
I learned so much from you, I tried to imitate you as a kid,
But few could walk in those footsteps, or accomplish what
you did.
I watched this Superman in full attire, flying high with
such grace,
With God’s eternal love clearly showing on the outline of
his face.
Though his battle may have ended, lessons he taught me still
ring true,
There was never a greater bond, then the love I feel for
you.
Rest in peace my dear, beloved brother, until we meet again,
Where I’ll still watch you with the amazement that’s always
been.
Goodbye is only temporary, these tears soon will dry,
When brothers will be united on a beautiful heavenly sky.
