Rescue Me

Your love sometimes can hang by

one last thread.

Sirens sounding with warning lights

flashing in red.

From the edge of a cliff above the

valley of defeat.

And express by the poets for desperate

eyes to read.

Author's Notes:

I just had to input something to rescue me from todays world.

My hiding place is poetry

Dan,   In these days, with all the idiocy that is going on, it can leave one with sense of: exasperation, desperation and frustration.  The sense is that we are passengers on a train where lunatics are at the controls !  Just remember:  When you reach the end of your rope; Tie a knot (as opposed to a noose) and hang on.  Ultimately God is in control.      Bruce

Here I am back on here! (Not sure if anyone else will remember me?)

I just had to read your latest poem.

Poetry is a means to self-medicate. To express our emotions.

I've not written any poems for such a long time but I am back to claim my "poet" label back. What do you say?

expressive poem but should it read hang* not hanged?
