Unsocial
I see them intentionally walk past me Without a "Hi” or a "How are you?” And at times I’ve smiled and waved But they move on like I’m of no existence. I could greet them, tell them about my daily blues, my current TV show or about their updated relationship status   But they wouldn’t want to listen. I could be wearing a PRADA handbag -one I had saved up all year for But they wouldn’t want to compliment me on it So I go home angered by their blatant ignorance And state my angry thoughts on Facebook. It doesn’t take long before I’m inundated with likes and comments such as: "Don’t you just hate that?” "I get that all the time!” "Do the same back and ignore them, they’ll soon understand what it feels like.” I log out, having anticipated the results

Ironically it was all of them I was referring to!

Author's Notes:
We've suddenly forgotten what it's like to actually communicate with one another without a device in our hands.
I see many people I talk to on social media out and about and as someone with manners, I find it of human decency to go up to them and talk like we do on social media. Only they don't! Yet, they are the first ones to go on social media and complain about the manners of others.

P/S Any ideas for the title?

I think the 'Unsocial' would fit if you looking for a title. I am not on facebook but I know how it operates. It has changed all societies and human behaviour. You've captured the truth about social media. As always, your work captures one's imagination.
