My Tribute

Suddenly, one Easter Day
Our Savior saw your pain
He called you gently to His side
And our tears fell like rain

Each moment here without you, dear
Feels like a million years
There never is a day passed by
Without a sea of tears

But I know that you are at His feet
And Heaven's portals ring
As you praise and sing to Him
Songs angels cannot sing

So, when my years have passed, my love
And my life's race is run
I'll turn my tired, weary steps
Toward life's setting sun

I'll walk through my last valley, dear
My last tears will be cried
I'll board the boat to Heaven's Shore
Across Jordan's stormy tide

And there you'll be, by Jesus' side
No pain will cloud your eyes
No anguish there will slow your steps
Or wring out pain-filled sighs

Once more I'll hold you in my arms
And brush back your flowing hair
And once again our voices will blend
And ring through Heaven's air

The angels will fall silent then
As we sing of His love
For they just cannot understand
His forgiveness from above

But until that day I see your face
I'll slowly plod along
And dream ahead to that glad day
We'll all sing victory's song

Author's Notes:
I sure miss my Keri...God called her home before I was ready for her to go, and Mother's Day will never be quite the same for me...

Glata - I'm floored! I was wondering who this was written about as I read it.  Sometime unintended absences have

negative consequences; I am so very sorry to you and yours.  She was a real ray of sunshine on this site.

It is truly amazing how the heart never forgets. No matter how strong or resilient the heart is, the one thing that knocks it out of kilter is loss especially the loss of a child. Glata, I feel for you each day and hope that in your own way you will come to an understanding of why, but even if you don't there isn't a parent out there that would think any less of you. My heart breaks for you  each day because you're not you and that is a loss for all of us that know you and love you.  Hugs,   Henry
