I sit in a puddle of uncertainty. All around me, water seeps in, taking me under its weight, devouring all that I am. My thoughts are blank. What clarity I once held, seems to have vanished. Try as I might, I grasp what small moments of visions I once had. Of the dreams I told, felt, promised, of myself, For myself. How hard it is to forge ahead. How simple life is, yet so hard it has become. I am the key. I am the lock.

And you are ever the soulful writer you've always been. In one short paragraph you capture a range of emotion that we all feel Donna.   Hugs,   Henry

"To teach us how to live with uncertainty, and yet not be paralyzed by fear and hesitation, is perhaps the chief thing that philosophy, in our age, can still do for those who study it.” (paraphrased quote by Bertrand Russell)  You have captured an important feeling that we all recognize within ourselves as we journey through life.  To use this feeling as a caution, a time for introspection and reflection, rather than a death grip is perhaps the best way to overcome it.  Beautifully expressed.

Moonie oh Moonie. . .

The title of you've chosen for your work in this category is so perfect and yet so certain that I almost cried after reading it. The ending says it all as you put it with certainty, "I am the key. I am the lock."

Uncertainty is, has has always been, and will always be around us. It's just the way of seeing it and become sure of one thing as we approach our golden era. We become certain about uncertainty, and yet, not everyone can claim 'That' certainty! You celebrated it with the way you've ended this gem of yours.

As always,

I think you have expressed the same exact emotions I am wrestling with! I can't seem to find myself anymore...

As always...well done!
