One Year Later - Acrostic/NonFiction
.
Over the course of twelve months and
Never imagined going so long without;
'Everyday life' taking its toll on me.
 .
Year of disappointment and despair -
Each day passing by like falling sand
Adding more to the hourglass of life;
Regret an unwelcome companion...
 .
Looking over my shoulder in hindsight
And pondering the choices not made;
There is no time in life for no change -
Everything need to move forward and
Reality has no pause, stop or rewind.
.
Author's Notes:
.
A lot can happen over the course of one year, but life always continues on without pause.

I agree with you on this matter.  We should all be thankful for all that we have.

Sorry to hear your year has been so tough. The second stanza really speaks to me..."time passing like falling sand in the hour glass of life." Most profound line: Regret, an unwelcome companion. But I hear the positive note in the last stanza to move ahead...make changes and see the results.  Thought provoking...
