Trust God

Trust God

How many of us have an unclaimed lottery ticket

from our childhood.

Yet what value can it be to us to cash it in?

Those painful thoughts.

We left unchecked in our daily survival guide.

For silence returned can be the greatest teacher.

And you have learned that as a child from Jesus.

You have used little or no words to defend yourself.

And have been forgiving others to teach forgiveness.

You know that in time whoever is right or wrong

it doesn’t matter.

Yet will love answer your door?

A love you have never known.

But I discovered what love is:

The blue in the sky.

The red in the sun.

The white whirling clouds holding hands to fly.

And rolling in the green grass while playing tag.

To hide away that love safely inside.

For the grey comes along with its

driving rain like tears.

And then a rainbow appears to remind me:

"I will paint all those colors in your world again.

And leave the floods for the rivers and not for your eyes.”

And everything inside is always smiling.

No matter what storm is waiting its turn.

I left the mountain of despair a long time ago.

To rejoined society as an adult believing once more

 in hope and humanity.

For peace had conquered that mountain.

For love never left me.

My heart would give away the world.

If I could only make it a better place

for someone else.

One gave His Life in a painful place

for all our sins and mistakes.

God's love with open or shut eyes

is always amazing grace.

I will trust the Creator of the human race.

There is love inside me that can’t be replace.

I just love to share what love has come

Wow Mr. Dan.  You have captured the true meaning of what love is, as well as who God is, which is love.  Beautifully penned, my friend.

Wow! So much depth in this thought provoking piece. I really appreciate your picture of love painted in colors...and even if those colors should fade due to troubles and woe they will surely return...brilliant as ever in rainbow form.  My favorite line is "I will paint all those colors in your world again.  And leave the floods for the rivers and not for your eyes".   This has dual meaning for me.  It could be a promise to a cherished loved romantic!  But more likely a promise from Our Creator for a peaceful new world with no more sickness, sorrow, pain, even death.  Rev. 21:3,4  God's greatest quality...Love.

Beautifully written and faith strengthening!
