Too Old to Be Alice
Beware the Jabberwock, my dear,
Whose roaring rampage passes here
Once every hour, and twice a year;
It's best you stay away.

The borogroves are very cross:
They've vapors and they've hearing loss.
They find it quite the albatross,
And say so every day.

If you do stay, the Jabberwock
Will tell you it just wants to talk,
But don't be fooled -- it loves to mock
And tend its appetite;

Outgrabing it will just ignore;
The mome raths sadly are no more.
They fell before its burbling roar --
We think they died of fright.

I tell you now to ease your heart:
The Jubjub bird chose to depart.
The slithy toves have yet to start,
But think to do the same,

And of the Bandersnatch, you see,
It's always been a friend to me.
I often have it here for tea.
It's really very tame.

Now, when the Jabberwock's been by,
Take care when wreckage you espy;
Be warned, though I won't tell you why --
That's hardly half as fun,

But, truly, dear, just move along.
Your petticoats still hang all wrong.
You never learned the vorpal song,
And didn't bring your gun.

Though Dodgson was a genius, I'm almost embarrassed that I've yet to read Jabberwocky, and I'm still looking for the Snark.  I liked everything here.
