Why
Why? So young and so much to live for Yet her time on earth is done day by day Hour by hour She fights to hang on Why? I tell her it's ok to go That soon her pain will be fine But she keeps fighting Past the day the doctor's have Why? She said she lives because of me She doesn't want me to cry Yet I get knowing she is in pain Why? Why did the cancer have to spread So fast so quick without warning She thinks it's deserved Why? So much suffering from her past Abused Raped Unloved Why? Why did she come to me like this Breaking down walls I put back up I want to love her and make her smile Why? Why do people come to me Then turn around and die??
