“A Wintery Mix”

"A Wintery Mix”

A cold chill went through

my bones today.

Reminding me winter bleached

 the sun away.

But: "Oh” how a true love can

 warm ones soul.

You will never experience it

 I've been told.

So walk over the past that’s

cover with snow.

As hot tears melt the slush to

 make you whole.

No winter’s blast can extinguish

a burning soul.

Hearts wrap together no winter

can turn cold.

For the tiniest star "SHINES" for

a wish to own.

Author's Notes:

 A remix of winter

thank you for reading a snowflake to melt by your heart

Oh! This is so beautiful, I fear words will do injustice. Loved it in every way.

It is very imaginative to see snowflakes as tiny stars.  Loved the contrast between the icy conditions of winter and the warmth of true love. So,  you were told you would never experience true love...seems like you've proved them wrong.   Now we will be seeing snowflakes in a new way, they do have that sparkle.

Dan, I must be an amazing feeling to experience a true love and see what is like. 'A burning soul', indeed 'No winter's blast can extinguish it', and sounds like this poem came from one such soul.
