Quort Knee
I know what kind of boys you like
Tall, Handsome, and one of those stupid beards
Do you want to take a look inside my head?
Cause it's so dark in here
It's like I'm dead
I'm sorry, just wanted to show you what I fear
I didn't mean it girl
I was just trying to be sincere

The messed up part is I know you're not the one
You ain't the girl to run off into the sun
I keep on telling you I'ma poet
& Now I got these feelings on paper I'ma show it
Let the syllables run
Crank up the volume
Can you feel the decibels?

Have you ever felt lonely before?
Ever love someone, and watch'em slam the door?
Cause I have & let me tell you it isn't fun
I'm always on the run
But I'm not gonna let them stop me
The only way they gonna stop me
Is if they tie me down in the street
& Pop me

I hate how I always fall for girls like you
The ones I can never have forget the feelings
The point is moot
No lie girl I always got your back no dispute
Maybe one day I'll be wrong
Find that right girl and write a happy song

They say there are plenty of fish in the sea
But you're another girl who has this effect on me
It's like I'm always ready to risk it all
I never check who's really there to catch my fall
& Even though I suffer this heartache and pain
I'm still in love with the game
& That's never gonna change

The messed up part is I know you're not the one
You ain't the girl to run off into the sun
I keep on telling you I'ma poet
& Now I got these feelings on paper I'ma show it
Let the syllables run
Crank up the volume
Can you feel the decibels?

Have you ever felt lonely before?
Ever love someone, and watch'em slam the door?
Cause I have & let me tell you it isn't fun
I'm always on the run
But I'm not gonna let them stop me
The only way they gonna stop me
Is if they tie me down in the street
& Pop me

Even though I put myself through all this heartache and pain
You're one of the many girls stuck in my brain
What am I gonna do to make this change?
& Silence all this frekin' rage in my heart
Good God just let this stop so I can continue on with my day
& Fall in love with another pretty face

The messed up part is I know you're not the one
You ain't the girl to run off into the sun
I keep on telling you I'ma poet
& Now I got these feelings on paper I'ma show it
Let the syllables run
Crank up the volume
Can you feel the decibels?

Have you ever felt lonely before?
Ever love someone, and watch'em slam the door?
Cause I have & let me tell you it isn't fun
I'm always on the run
But I'm not gonna let them stop me
The only way they gonna stop me
Is if they tie me down in the street
& Pop me

Sometimes loneliness brings out the best in you. Enjoyed it.
