Remnants
Here among the ruins of all humanity.
Where the flowers have no personality.
A place where the birds and squirrels roam free.
Each person has inherited an unwanted necessity.
Who has taken your dominion away?
For here the children will seldom play.
Where solemn faces weaken the knees.
As a breeze carries away parting pleads.
The shadows grow so hastily after me.
Dirt here disguises what's left of us.
The night provides a temporary trust.
How sounds intensifies my own heartbreaks.
One day I will laid to rest all the heartaches.
I silently vow to learn from my own mistakes.
Without a vision we die.
Before Gods chosen time. |
