A Keeper

Itís amazing how the heart misses someone as soon as they head out the door.

And itís not because your world revolves around them or even collides with them.

You both have the freedom to choose who your Forever will be.

And then becomes a permanent necessity.

With exclusive rights to share dreams.

Even behind the close doors of oneís mind.

A simple plan unfurls while waving the white flag.

We surrender all to accept each otherís world to explore together.

For we place the reins of our hearts in each otherís hands.

And toss away our very own life long plans.

As we give up trying to ever understand.

The wonder of it all is part of a Higher Plan.

For the love place in your heart will outlive all the money in your bank.

And when you spend that love on others your heart always takes a chance to share.

While remembering one will always care.

Who returns a dividend is held so very dear.

I am rich today because inside me.

A Keeper will always live there.
