Track Eleven: The Village of Patchouge
What do I have to do to get through to you?
I was always on your side no matter what happened
And all you've left me was a bitter taste in my mouth
I hope you're happy now

I was ready to welcome you in
Make you part of the family
But you threw it away
That fateful summer day

It was down the the water
When I confessed my heart to you
I thought you heard me and beleived
Now I guess I gotta turn around

Why couldn't you understand
You had all the power right in the palm of your hand
I guess I'll never be the one to understand
I thought I could trust you

I was wrong and it's not fair
You lured me in grabbed me by the hair
Now when I look at you
All I can see is just a blank state

Just take it from me
You could have had it all
Now you've just left me with a bitter taste
I have to leave you now, head down in disgrace

I was ready to welcome you in
Make you part of the family
But you threw it away
That fateful summer day

It was down the the water
When I confessed my heart to you
I thought you heard me and believed
Now I guess I gotta turn around

You always tempted me
With your busy streets
And all the pretty girls
Make my head swirl

I could always down a few drinks
Leave you and come back in a week
Then dance the night away
Looks like I have to wait another day

Cause you left me broken and alone
Now I gotta sit out in the cold
Nothing but the thought's in my head
Living with you makes me want to be dead

I was ready to welcome you in
Make you part of the family
But you threw it away
That fateful summer day

It was down the the water
When I confessed my heart to you
I thought you heard me and believed
Now I guess I gotta turn around

I was ready to welcome you in
Make you part of the family
But you threw it away
That fateful summer day

It was down the the water
When I confessed my heart to you
I thought you heard me and believed
Now I guess I gotta turn around
