In These Years
The hours have turned on
and you my heart have gone
away in the night
the Sun wanes behind the Moon
the dream falling all too soon
and fading from sight
and weathered in these years
I lie...
and cry...
alone...
with these wounds of time
bleeding
like melting stone

The days have turned on
and you my hope are gone
away on the sea
a small flower has closed it's bloom
high fly our flags of doom
portents for eternity
and lost now in these years
I hide...
and bide...
alone...
with these scars of time
weeping
like shattered bone

The years have turned on
and you my life are gone
away with the Sun
I long for peace and rest
time to have our sickness dressed
hope for the little one
and hidden now in these years
I write...
and fight...
alone...
with these songs of time
rising
to take us home

My how heartbreaking to read. This could be sung as a song. When a loved one has passed it a misery that hurts the heart strings with so much grief. Been there its painful and we become recluse in so many ways.

A poem like this clutches ones heart.
