Rod of Asclepius
Dearly beloved
We've gathered here today
Upon you, a forced bride
In unholy sanctimony

Within these chambers
The sludge rises to the top
A toxic death hastened
A labor of opulence

What have they done to you?
Can you speak now and defend our peace?

Deary beloved
In your sickness and you health
Upon you, their detritus
Until death, they so hasten

Sludge now is a tidal wave
Eroding the higher grounds
The reaper cloaked in chicanery
This toxic death so shameful

What have they done to you?
Can you speak now and defend our peace?

You weren't the one all the while
As deceptive as their opulence
Can we wait with bated breath
Or is it theirs to provide?
