For Love and Venice
Oh...and Moonbeams kissed your hair
with the faded bloom of Venice
reflected in your eyes
all the long lost loves
trembling in the amorous memory
of waters wide with promise
as we first saw Saint Mark's Square
in a rising sun
with dark gondolas undulating
before the day

Oh...and the sky's blue vault
holds the Sunlit glimmer
of sun kissed dancing waters
below the shadowed Bridge of Sighs
this golden morning rises
trembling from a weeping mist
and you my love turn and stare
my heart riven and blanched with love
to see all my eternities there
before my eyes

oh...and where now the dancers
clad in mask and silken robe
that they may gift their steps to you
and the old men blowing glass
paying splendered homage to your form
this masquarade we hide behind
you take and leave me forlorn
I watch the shimmer of your eyes
and the call of a Gondolier
spins my dream

Wow.... Loss for words to express my emotions as I have now have read this several times.... You always just blow my mind when I read your emotions that you write with such visual attraction...You play with words about nature ...places and that passion called love

a picture with subtle colors and  such raw feelings that just scream out

yet whisper so softly in the summer winds drifting across the majestic oceans

Love this so much .....***** ...I have missed your amazing poetry......A loyal fan....
