Raven-Haired Tragedy
Raven-haired and on the run
Around the world with joie de vivre
Stop and smell the burning flesh
A little hard to get past the bone

Raven-haired and born to please
Passing out samples happily
A taste too bitter for my throat
It's only open to silently scream

The magic died
Then the phoenix gave another form
Around the world, a firmer grip
Around the world, an darker gaze

The magic died
Then the phoenix gave another form
Around the world, another sin
Around the world, another cull

Just wave the wand and bare your sharpened teeth now
A relic from the studious witching hour
No change, fight, time, clean, pulling my weight
Your knight in rusted armor beckons

And speak no more of the albatross you helped raise
A relic from the death I hoped to spare
Lies, ties, crying pillows, screaming mattress charades
Your knight in rusted armor nauseates

And every time the wind blows
The breeze to caress my face
I'll remember you
Raven-haired girl I now watch fade

Please forget me
