You melted me fast like a late spring
snow.
As I drew your face and dotted that tiny nose.
Only two ounces wrap up like a white cotton
ball.
My heart cried to you:" I am here for the long
haul."
You squirmed and whined with pups around you.
I had to name you Chester to give you a future too.
As your paws reach out for its own specials
needs.
And your blind eyes would eventually discover
me.
The remedy was medicine with hourly care.
We bonded waiting on our miracle to share.
I prayed please let his heart continue to beat.
By ten months you reached one amazing feat.
There is a heaven waiting to give sight to see.
My joy is in knowing your still here with me.
Your bark greets me daily as the angels cheer.
I sigh thank-you God for my own healing here.
