Eyes and Years tell me everything I know
Memory a white swan on water
Recall wrenching heartbreak from the ever now
Oh....and does the soul of man still pain....
After death
With all our yesterdays written on the sky
The Moon writes autographs for our bones
History revealing our ancient scars
Borne with determined will
Onward to the grave
And both iced days of winter time
and dew born days of summer
Hold the soul of a dreamer

Echoes linger
Suspended in a glare of time
Drawn of gossimer and daydreams
Appearing faint yet true
There in the shadow's gloom I wait
And would....without thought to cost
Give my each and every year
For a single hour's gaze upon your face
through the rain

Blood stays long on open wounds
and time stands still for heroes
Love a fond remembered thing
in the waking hours
Yet I feel the pain of the torn heart
The sheen of love lost to the grip of death
And dreams bring on suffering when sleeping
Where cold Moons wane outside the World
darkness lays a silver bed
Echoes wrench hearts with the agonies
of a long lonely memory
No suns will shine on future dreams...
now cold to the soul of being
And will you always cry for me
in my dreams

This lovely but sad poem is penned so well the reader can almost feel the pain that inspired this tragic love poem.

Oh My... I am at a loss for words this clutches ones heart with misery .

As I read ..I felt the misery of a lost love through death.

How the memories linger and torment us all.Your poetry reaches out with your torment

My heart cries for your sorrow..Will she cry for you?? I know so!!  So beautiful but so sad...

Your loyal fan who has been through so much herself I can understand so well

 Always Texas Hugs ~ Scarlett
