Don't Vanish....

Struggling long shadows squeezes the last twilight
as it filters through the shaded canyon walls

Dreary drooping clouds weep with such despair
with stingy rain in the sway of summer breezes

Still I will walk the sweet grasses of your affection
cloaking you my night blanket for protection

Don't vanish from me like the peaceful morning dew
I will fear the shadows mingling with the lost hues
