Mother Earth
Ahhh freedom
What a glorious feel
I bask in its glory
Its feelings of passion so real.
Cleansing myself upon waters of faith
Hope for all I dream, fear
Open to all, I open wide my form
Oh such wonder comes over me, so surreal.
Towards the heavens, I send my call
The sky of so blue and of purity
Take me unto your moments of splendor
Your starlight of thoughts of my maturity.
Forgive this wanton heart
This unjustness thrown to the wind
For within my heart I am bringing forth
All ungodly moments of deepest sin.
Pure radiance greets me
Holding me like a suckling babe
To its breast of joy
Unleashing all inner rage.
Yes..... I smile with soft whisper
Eyes now clear, I see my utmost dreams
In memory they came, late in thought
For now, finally, I know what they mean.
'Take me' Arms held high to the Earth Mother
'Hear me' I send forth my heartfelt call
'Release me' Words sound out to the thunder
Saving me from deaths door.
Into arms of protection
Sights of bright light engulf me
And I see forth into imagination
The lightness ahead that is for only my eyes to see.
My wisdom of existence
My tomorrows never ending
My hope, for everlasting
That Mother Earth is now finally sending.

Well Moonie, you've definitely captured an inspired moment. Your poem took me to that place. Your passion exudes from those words. Very, very nice!

Flying free and not bound by earthly ties is a real feeling of contentment, so well expressed within this write.

This has a definite Native American feel to it and I, being of such heritage, can really be with this. A very fine work, very expressive and profound, Donna. You don't a lot, but what you post is always of high quality, meaning and deep feeling. Brava, me amiga.
