Forever in the recess of my mind
I dream of soft breeze as it slowly moves
Of my heart as it feels love for the first time
Of a lovers kiss upon my lips
Of a memory that runs across my mind.

My shadow follows, flows softly beneath
All I am, my moments of rest
Am I here, there, everywhere?
I question at best.

I lie in a puddle of my own existence
Of memory come and gone
treasured for that classical second
Like a song of the swan.

Gently gliding in the waters
Of my thoughts, I float with all
Tomorrows upon me, yet distant
Silence surrounds, listen..It calls.

My heart.. Tender as a new-born babe
I give nourishment to sooth its burn
Its pain of yesteryear, gone
Never to return.

Forever in the recess of my mind
Oh life can be so unkind....

I mean to tell you. Late night thoughts are the cruelest. Love the poem. Sweet phrasing. Good job, girl. ML

This is just LOVELY all around, sad, but pure. Life can be so unkind. I enjoyed every word. Great write. -Savannah

This is stunning.  Its beauty, though totally original, suggests classic style.  This is a triumph.  An eloquent piece of writing that makes new sense to the heart.  I live it.  Oops I meant I LOVE it.    --David
