Ignorant to society
Our ignorance makes colour just an illusion
We latch onto black and white for vision
Purifying our naivety, protecting our fears
Whether it be blood, sweat or tears; no trace can be found
Recognition being the key to unearth beyond our judgemental lines.
We deny ourselves the truth, yet believe in immortality.

Witnessing a bag drift through the wind, can you feel itís freedom?
Ever wondered how far itís journey will be?
Do you ever question your abilities, even if they not in reach?

Swimming my way through doubt, I push so many aside
I want to express my anger, stand out in the crowd and shout
Show them a rainbow, rose petals, an oil painting
Fix their eyes on existing colour they fail to see frequently
But I know itís no use, I watch in dismay the world falling apart
And the common feeling of living a failure.
Easy to surrender to their permanent bed without a meaningful life
I pity those that hang on, waitingÖ

Powerful and thought provoking Mitzee. You really ripped some strong emotions out and slammed them down on the paper. Well done! Brian.

This is so full of meaning, both personal meaning and worldly meaning.  And it is so well said, and the words seem to come so naturally.  An excellent and poignant poem, Mitzee.  Thank you for giving it to us.  David

I beleive pride is the culprit to our ignorance.

Till we have a slice of humble pie.

Very good you have to read it more then

once to let the light filter in.
