Born to Ride the Poet’s Express

There is a gathering of words greeting us everywhere while   we roam this earth.
They decided to embark after closure from a group hug since Life gave them birth. No dead ends with tales to spin in express lines for the new   Arrivals' to explore. As they stop Time for moving points of interest by braking for the revolving door. Once Joy cried; "Stop my city is that way since we pass thru   The Tunnel of Love.” It was a very fast Breathless ride with a timely moment in the mountains tops above.
Yet words continued boarding with Last Goodbye’s barreling down to the city called Rain. They all pour out as soon as the Tears arrive to let off again Heart Break, Loneliness and Pain.
We accompany each other as I hang on while Paper and Pen   express their points to view. Some return for a Farewell Speech but may Peace and Love stay in their seats next to you.

Author's Notes:

Time doesn't hesitate even for just one word from our pens.
We are blest with time to read poetry from so many hands.

Sometimes many obstacles of life can be encountered all at once.

A poet will just roll out of the bed in the candle light for a bounce.

	Such brave insight into the mind that holds the stuff that makes the poet. I've watched the day break after finishing a poem inspired by a dream that woke me in the middle of the night. 	Sometimes we find ourselves getting lost in the words and their rhymes, and the rhythms of the times. We chase the shadows that run before us, and behind us, in hopes of catching one before the lights come on. Your thoughts lead me, in a strange way, on a quest for meaning that hides in the mysterious world of words and the minds that invent them... and then melds them artistically together to make the poetry that lets the heart experience something new. 	The poet is a strange animal. He may blend in with the regular folks well enough, but the poet is basically a lonely being, lost in the inner workings of his or her's inner mind and soul. We attempt, through writing, to connect with a general population who really has no idea who we are...Great write...len Respond To This Comment

	I had the privilege of reading your poem before it was posted on c-p. I am glad you decided to put it up for others to read here. Words can take us on a variety of journeys...especially well chosen ones that stir the imagination. I really liked the line about the Tunnel of Love...it took me back to the carnival ride at the county fair when I was in high school. (ohhh, my steady stealing a kiss in the dark!) Words too, can evoke a certain saddness...The Last Good-bye...losing someone in which you are especially fond. I really like the concluding line...great finish! Respond To This Comment
