Betsy All Over
As I look out the window I see the stars
Not to far in the distance
I can see mars
All bright and solid red
That's what I'll think about before I go to bed

As my mind wanders in my nocturnal slumber
Thoughts of you come in many numbers
My feelings for you grow deeper and deeper
I fear my heart will drag me into the ether

One question dwells the corridors of my mind

If I give you my heart will you keep it or smash it on the floor
My body is still so weak if I think you will hurt me I'll close the door
I want to tell you how much I care about you but I'm afraid
Afraid you will say no and throw my heart into the rain

Girl I have to say your smile is so rich and true
Your eyes are the deepest blue
Old cliches may sound boring
But thus Brit's heart is soaring

No matter how hard I try this thought is trapped in my mind

If I give you my heart will you keep it or smash it on the floor
My body is still so weak if I think you will hurt me I'll close the door
I want to tell you how much I care about you but I'm afraid
Afraid you will say no and throw my heart into the rain

It's such a shame you are with him
Making love under the sheet's
Sweating away all that shame and sin
Will our lips ever meet?

There is so much confusion in my heart
When will the torture end?
Just when I think it's over life gives me another bend

So Girl I ask you one last time

If I give you my heart will you keep it or smash it on the floor?
My body is still so weak if I think you will hurt me I'll close the door
I want to tell you how much I care about you but I'm afraid
Afraid you will say no and throw my heart into the rain
