The Saddest Sunset
As the sunsets and the stars come out
We listened to the cars slow down
And as the moon rose from his slumber
I remember watching the frown go upside down

We held hands on the outside patio
Blasting music from the days of old
As the nighttime breeze swept away those tears
I fell to my knees forgetting all those teenage fears

So many years later I go back outside
And look at the stars and remember your face
And how your touch would send my heart to outer space
Now when we talk you tell me that your love for me has died
When those words leave your lips I try to hide the tears

Have you forgotten all the promises we made to each other
How we swore we'd be there for each other now and forever
Now you have a new endeavor so I guess there's no more forever

As the sunsets and the stars come out
We listened to the cars slow down
And as the moon rose from his slumber
I remember watching the frown go upside down

Late night kisses and making silly wishes
We were just so young and in love
Now you tell me you feelings are relinquished
We were just too young and in love

Have you forgotten all the promises we made to each other
How we swore we'd be there for each other now and forever
Now you have a new endeavor so I guess there's no more forever

Now that your gone the world stopped spinning
Life is unbearable the nights are so cold
It's the bottom and the ninth
And the home team isn't winning

Have you forgotten all the promises we made to each other
How we swore we'd be there for each other now and forever
Now you have a new endeavor so I guess there's no more forever

Somehow I've survived this winter without you
I have no idea how, my bow has been struck
But I haven't been sunk
Now you have a new endeavor so I guess there's no more forever

Have you forgotten all the promises we made to each other
How we swore we'd be there for each other now and forever
Now you have a new endeavor so I guess there's no more forever

All there's left to do is move on
All I can do is forget you and move on
How can I do that, when it's your face I see in my dreams
How can I move on?!

Have you forgotten all the promises we made to each other
How we swore we'd be there for each other now and forever
Now you have a new endeavor so I guess there's no more forever

Have you forgotten all the promises we made to each other
How we swore we'd be there for each other now and forever
Now you have a new endeavor so I guess there's no more forever
