Finding A Way To Survive
If you look deep in her brown eyes
You'd see the pain and how often she cries.
She feels like she's burried in a dark whole
Her life completely spinning out of control.
Keeping her secrets is a must
For she doesn't know who to trust.
Over taken by her shame
Feeling she is the only one to blame.
She drinks her days away
Trying to pretend her life's okay.
Hoping to find love, she is obsessed
Feeling alone, she's always depressed.
Taking the meds the doctor's prescribe
She ponders over taking them all and committing suicide.
But somewhere deep inside there's still a piece of hope
So everyday she continues on trying to cope.
Tomorrow always promises a new day
Trying to surive, she'll find a way.

Victoria, when I first read this poem I cried. Because there have been so many times that I really thought I could not go on any longer. The devastation I call my life was too unbearable at times. The only thing that kept me alive was the fear of going to hell for commiting the ultimate sin. My family loves me so much but in times of turmoil I seem to forget and lock them out. So I pray, and pray, and pray. Great Poem! So Tender So True. Thank You !!!

I just wanted to add Thank you for all your kind comments to me. I've read just about all your poems and I think your very talented. So sorry for your loss. When you are blessed you'll have much to offer as a mother.
(as for my other comment oops! I hit the button twice)

I can relate to everything you said. I know these feelings all to well. Michaels right we have to find comfort and stength in our friends and family. That tommorow will soon come to be a brighter day! You can count me in as well!
