I Think About You Often: Aunt

I Think About You Often: Aunt

I think about you often: Aunt
Yetta. Aunt Frances. Uncle
Jack. Aunt Lena. Uncle Ben.

Ada. Myer. Bess. Sarah. Rosie.
Sigmund. Irving. There were so
Many of you. I think about you

Often. Where, O elders, did you
Go? I know you were here. But
I didn’t know you’d abandon me.

I should not have trusted you.

What a fine poem - and since you were the only one to reply to the shotgun challenge I have by default to SHOOT you back old friend -- I am sure you will get many takers for your Shotgun challenge - count me in!

Ooh how sad this one is.. I felt it tug at my heart.. You always bring forth such wonders, though sad as this one was my friend, it still showed the depth of emotion you possess in each of your words..

Much love

Moonie xx

alas David, time is not an ally when it comes to keeping the people we know and care fgor around forever. The fact that you have the memories is proof that they had an effect on you in your formative years.   Henry

Such a heart felt poem.. They did not abandon you it was just their time to go...

We only have a blink of time on this earth....

treasure all you have they are always with you..

you carry them in your heart and mind.
