Endings
And if I knew I must leave here
I hope you would ask me to stay
you know that I would lie down beside you
and wait for the last light of day

And I would stand upon this hillside
and watch the waters roil from the sea
and though we know there be no hope of living
I'd be glad you'd be there with me

And I would stand there beside you
as the last dawn sprang from the east
where the multitudes pray and plead in the darkness
and bow their heads with a Priest

And if Jesus be returning
as the shining gleam in the night
I will stand with you and wait for his blessing
and feel we would be alright

And if there be smoke upon the mountain
and fires they rage from the skies
I would clasp and hold you hard to my bosom
until the last light fades in your eyes

So heart felt with such longing as I read this...

It is amazing how one reads something and it reaches with such depth

inside the reading mind and helpless heart ..

You have this way about you that just gives us all

such a visial view of you and your world..

 Another winner I think...*****

Love it so much.... Send in poem of the week....
