A New Beginning
November is a difficult month for me
many reasons only few know of
Memories still linger of the front lines
The screams still resound through my mind
Will the voices ever silence
Will the visions ever disipate
Among the memories of war
lie the past of a short lived marriage
my wife passed away Nov. 26, 2010
took our unborn daughter with her
So hard it was to move on after
but moving on was a must
Love I do have again
with it brought two young "daughters"
She brings out the best of me
is there for me through the nightmares
holding me tight
wiping away the many tears
comforting my fears
listening without judgment
as I open up about life so far
She is everything I'm not
yet we have so much in common
planning a future together is starting
a new beginning is here
and I wish I could skip November
and December
and just begin a new year

That is hectic, but it was overcome and you are still standing, some people will not be able to do that.
November and December will pass and the more November's and December's pass the less it will hurt.

Great write, emotional and raw.

I am sorrowful.  Hearing about your troubles -- and especially how you try to overcome them -- impresses me with your sheer strength.  So far there has been a disproportionate amount of inequity in your young life.  We may EXPECT God to try His best to make up to you for all you have lost.  Of course, He can never really do that -- your loss being too great.  But at least He can help you.  Sometimes asking for that help is not enough.  Sometimes you have to demand it.  You have the right to live a normal life.  This poem is especially wonderful because -- in it -- you are able to reveal the core of you.  November and December will pass -- you can be sure.  --David

Jess: lovely write.  You have experienced so much and you are still strong and marching along.  Your new Life sounds great and I send prayers and love for you and your new Life.  Always know I love you and always think loving thoughts of/for you.
