Lesson's Learned
Throughout my life there has been many lessons learned
For instance no matter what the world will always be turned
Life has a way of sneaking up on you
Like that time we went to the zoo

Knowing all of you has changed my life
Although loosing y'all stabs like a knife
What am I to do
I just really miss you

Annie you were right
Sometimes in this dark we we get a fright
But always remember
We were given only four Septembers

People come and go
And that's all I really know
Thank you Annie
I know one day you'll be a terrific granny

My dear hipster friend
Meeting you took out one of those bends
You're hipster price will come
All that anguish will be undone

I miss you all so much
I long for one more touch
I am sorry for the way things turned out
People come and go no matter what how hard you shout

C. Sherre I didn't forget you don't worry
You taught me to live life in no hurry
How can I repay you this debt
But don't worry I won't forget

My sweet Maddie I don't know what to say
It feels like you were only in my life for a day
That's not fair I love you like a sister
Hey whatcha' doin' there mister?

DMC you I could truly never forget
My love for you will never reset
Live everyday like it was your last
It's a shame our paths split so fast

I miss you all so much
I long for one more touch
I am sorry for the way things turned out
People come and go no matter what how hard you shout

Elizabeth you're on this list
Perhaps I was stuck in your mist
You taught me love was a one way street
I can't wait till we meet

Last but not least
The woman behind the beauty and the beast
My sweet bear
You had the most beautiful hair

I miss you all so much
I long for one more touch
I am sorry for the way things turned out
People come and go no matter what how hard you shout

What words can I speak
Regardless my knees will still be weak
I know you may be physically gone
Yet your memory forever lives on

I hold you all deep in my heart
You've all played your part
I just miss you all so much
I long for one more touch
I am sorry for the way things turned out
People come and go no matter what how hard you shout

This reminds me of Rudyard Kipling’s poem ‘The
Ladies’ where a British soldier lists his different affairs and ends each stanza
with ‘and I learnt about women from her’

I really liked this because it bucks the
present day trend of rubbishing all those who have gone before when finding a
new love. Why??

Good write, Regards John.

So much sadness and love, yet wisdom as well. This really is a lovely dedication to those women. I am sure they would feel very honored to have read your words here.
