Where You Once Were
My love
what have you taken away
I stand in a cloud of chaos
perceptions unclear now
my pain writhing
once we drank of paradise
untainted and open
but that time of wild desire
is faded now and lost
in a dark night
tears replace passion
love now consumed
in a bitter wind of loss
and where you once were
lie long empty years

Thomas....A very sad moving poem that reaches out to why??

Now consummed in a bitter wind of loss

Where is the passion was it lost with youth?? Empty years ...Wasted years...

My sable eyes moist up....

I seem to have lost a few years my self!! This hits a few nerves with me as well...
