The Flip Side of Me
If I wish upon a star.
The star would say:
Who brightens your day?
Your eyes are dazzled beholding her.
No need for any new desires up here.

If I rub a rabbit's foot.
The foot would say:
Why stroke for lady luck today?
Your feet with her better stay put.
No need to carry an old furry foot.

If I hang up a horseshoe.
The shoe would say:
Where is good fortunes fate today?
Your heart with her is first of all.
No need for a charm on the wall.

If I toss a coin down a wishing well.
The well would say:
When is a penny dropped from heaven?
Your angel left one for you to find.
No need to squander even a dime.

If I ask God with no words to pray.
God would mysteriously say:
What are tears for in heaven today?
Your world is perfect because of her.
No need for crying I am lonely here.
Author's Notes:
i don't know what this is

Your 'rambling' is majesty in that beauty of language can create such joy for a reader -- the ease you demonstrate in writing never fails to impress -- I loved this piece as I do all your exceptional work...
