People were frightened and they were bound to panic.
Over 1,500 people died during the crash of the Titanic.
It was supposed to be unsinkable but when it hit that iceberg, it went down.
It was a terrible tragedy when all of those innocent people drowned.
It was traveling from Southampton England to New York City.
When we think about that sad situation, everybody feels pity.
It had watertight compartments and remotely activated watertight doors.
Sadly that very large ship was destined not to make it to shore.
About 700 people were all that survived.
The Titanic was rediscovered in 1985.
There weren't enough lifeboats, that's why those people died.
It was difficult for their friends and families to say goodbye.

100 years since that fateful day and many lessons learned but at such a cost of human life, many other factors contributed to her loss but as you say the lack of life boats being the greatest and that because of vanity must have been hard to bear, it should also be known that the survivors of the crew had their wages stopped from the time she sank! How low can some people get  the White Star Line should have been ashamed of themselves my wife had relatives on it at the time and it makes me so angry even now, sorry for getting so carried away Randy your poem is a fine dedication sir and for that I applaud you~Graham.
