Making a Difference
So within the next couple months hopefully,
i'm going to be starting the official plans to open up a shelter/food pantry/free clothing place/kitchen
so that those who need help can get it.
I'm tired of people who work not being able to afford
a place to live, food, clothes,
and them not being able to get assistance because they make too much
or they dont have children.
So, i am going to come up with a way to help if i can
because every now and then, "normal people" need a little help.
If people on welfare can keep having kids to get a check
and people who abuse drugs can collect a disabilty check from "frying their brains",
then those who actually work
and need help from time to time
should be able to get it.
Tomorrow about eight of us are getting together
making some brown bag lunches
and taking them to the local spots of the homeless
and making sure every person gets a lunch
personally made
we have even hand written notes to be included
telling each person to
"stay strong", "don't give up", "you are loved", and "someone cares".
Sometimes a little kindness can go a long way
and I want to make a difference in this world.
Author's Notes:
Was talking to a friend in need who was complaining about being turned down for help because she makes too much money and doesnt have full custody of her son. It got me thinking about all those who work hard everyday and are barely making it day to day and those who abuse the system and continue getting help. I just have to figure out how to start the process....
