Creative mind now blank terrain;
Depression — like a blanket lies
Upon me again — my trusty friend...

Too well I’m able to depend
Upon the comfort of your rain:
Here — my barren brother — you send

The chemical without disguise:
Who knows not of descend-ascend?
Who hears not life’s solitary cries?

And who call out the word ‘insane?’

Only a poem about depression can take an other depression away, and this does it brilliantly. Our life cycle never completes, will go away, yet, would come again. I am now healed :-) ~Dean

How well I know of what you speak -- so eloquently and expertly.  Beware the judgemental person...A wonderful write

when I see the Catagory is under depression I tend to shy away from them as it does seem to affect my own moods having suffered much from it in the past,but if this is more to do with writers block which can be so frustrating it feels like you are going mad at times then I feel for you my friend but this in it self is creative and gives food for thought~Graham.

For someone who had nothing to say, you say it very well.  Not rambling, thought provoking, makes a point, invokes emotions .... yup, it's a poem and a pretty good one to boot.  Yup, you must have writer's block but,  your mind doesn't know it yet.  Write a few more and see what you come up with.
I .... like it.

Sounds like you have a case of writer's block my friend, but if you look at how good this poem is you will realize that you are not blocked at all, your mind is just re-loading.   Henry
