Trinkets
I find them
at odd moments
Whilst combing
the beaches of a drawer

These things of no value
yet priceless
these gatherings
of years of beachcombing

Forgotton until revealed
Oh how many more
worthless treasures
do I have

I have a garage full of worthless treasures as well as a loft crammed to breaking point always promising to clear them out yet when I start it takes me all day as I wade through the memories only to get rid of nothing thanks for sharing this little gem~Graham.

Beautiful verse with very special meaning; who of us doesn't have 'worthless treasures?' Very sensitive of you to find such a winning subject.  That -- in itself -- is a (not worthless) treasure -- as is this poem.  Thanks for reminding us what real treasure is!  --David

I find the old, useless treasures are the most valuable, they remind you of simpler times and happier days. Nice one, Thomas.
