Bay Shore
Bay Shore O'how I miss you so
From your bustling main street to your quite lake side dwellings
With pine scented streets your verty name brings back memories

I could never forget you Bay Shore, your fall nights were you can jus the feild and count the stars
Your high school is eternal with your studiouse students and your courtroom brings this sailor to tears

None of these things can you find on a ship
Or out in the sandbox with the mercinaries

What I miss most is your montauk highway
Just aft of your library were the sunsets perfectly

Don't forget me Bay Shore I will be home soon I promise.

I am a mere 10 minutes from Bay Shore and I take Montauk hwy. to get to it as well. I grew up in Brentwood so I know your town very well, I remember cruising the main drag there when I was a teen. Your poem helped me to recall my youth, thanks for the trip back in time.   Henry

Never been to Bayshore, but know where it is -- since it's in my neck of the global woods (NYC).  In this poem, Bayshore is a symbol of HOME -- no matter where that be.  Beautiful sentiment.  Beautiful feeling!  --David
