Who Has Broken .....Who
Seems he fumbled with silent words
with no confessions to reply
as time goes slowly on now
I understand why

When he slapped me in the face
with more of his endless lies

He may have broken my foolish heart
but in the long run I broke more of him
I broke his stubborn pride
I wonder if he cries

I have learned to eat my pain
like sweet delicious candy

I like the metaphors you've painted with your sword of a pen. Your end stanza tells a story in itself. A great poem as usual. It's good to see the writings of an old friend again as well. :)

You showed your mettle, gave it back to him....let him know you're there! Good show, Scarlett! <3

Long term relationships are bound to have many difficult ups and downs. Most of them just naturally grow apart. Seems a secret play of mother nature ... ~Dean
