Down to the Sea
My love
let us carry our love
these relics of trust between us
let us make a journey
down to the sea
let our steps ring lightly
on these cascades of green
this tapestry caught
on the warm balms
of this shining morning

You turn and I am lost
in deep emerald eyes
where miracles of light
shine from your soul
A lost memory stirs
of the lovelorm times
before you came
on a secret wind
Where I stood forlorn
in deep shadows of night

And we have sang
melodies on the wind
down all these days
of our gathered lives
We have been one
and held together
our souls
so my ever love
let us make our way
onward to the sea

A beautiful love poem full of lovely images and soft colours.  Easy-to-read, not-too-long, well-crafted.  Thanks for a special song!  --David
