My Life Without You
I would ask the man on the moon to move over to share his worldly view.
To sit motionless with him on the cold moon rocks in the company of two.
But he would not show the title granted him from his viewers on the earth.
By his decree I was oust to the dark side where light could never be birthed.

With no distractions to see today my world is under a full time review.
That no matter where you live somebody else will have their own view.
Sitting alone in the dust of ages past is the moon's only law of the land.
Every speck of sand place here is precious because of God's holy hand.
No sunlight here to warmth the soil that is now wet from my own tears.
A perennial love dismisses the darkness by remembering our past years.
Rising from a fetal position as memories of love commences to move me.
I explored only your universe and stars that birthed from inside of thee.
I was privilege every day to hold your magic ball to peer inside.
It would display us in a heavenly body in our own magical time.
I feel now so insignificant with a review of yesterday's landscape.
We sealed love with a night making it impossible for us to escape.
Death's grip had broken my heart furthered then I believe possible.
Writing difficult words to publish are no longer mission impossible.
As the future whirls me around the past to remember love's essence.
You light my way in the darkest hours with a dearly loved presence.
Can another love change the present with future as the only gift?
Time rules us all but the heart's partnership is now floating adrift.
I collected my tears for ink to painfully reproduce this work of art.
Revealing graphic symbols from a broken and unbelieving heart.

Death stalks us down there.

Love will prosper even here.

My view of you forever dear.
No one else will ever compare.
For heaven arrived on that day you appear.
To the universe my love I will always declare!!
You will always be seen with eyes closed as an obsession.
Yet reality this moment has denied any future possession.
But your picture will forever hang on the wall of my heart.
I named the painting "Precious" with my world reeling apart.
Author's Notes:
There are no words on earth to describe true love but only  in heaven.
But not even found in the language of the angels in heaven.
I do remember a phrase spoken by  God up there.
"There is no fear in perfect love."

Dan:  Your poem grasps at the deepest part of the heart and begs to be heard -- and felt.  The perspective changes offer a mysterious view of the world of lost loves and desolate spaces and peaceful sadness.  I suppose, as you intimated, that the magic still lies with the memories that passion has branded on your forever-love.  Nice work.  Tristan

Dan,  The Heart aches for a loved lost but to know one day you will both meet in heaven.  So extraordinarily deep, this poem reaches out and touches my soul.  For my heart is missing someone dear but I find comfort that we shall meet again..  As we shall meet with all those who have gone perhaps for the first time.  I miss my grandmother who I never knew.  I miss all those who I did know.  I know if I am good, we will all be reunited.  Your Friend Tina

I'm glad for your note explaining what this poem was about and how YOU came to write it.  It's extremely sad, yet in its own way  it is a beautiful declaration of love.  I think you have written what will be felt by many of us in your absence.  You need to continue writing, if only in a minor part of your life.  You'll be missed.
Come back every now and then, if only for a visit.

Oh my! First let me say I read this not once, not twice, but three times!!! Each word, line, seeped straight into my heart. It's like you took us all on this ride into the sweetest of minds and we swirled around into the brilliance that you alone can create.. I always said that you held a light deep within, this only goes to prove my point.

I bow down to your pen, for it is indeed mighty!

'I collected my tears for ink...'  There is so much to marvel at here there is not enough room.  The imagery and emotive content is astonishing and I confess to feeling very small when I read it for perhaps the sixth or seventh time.  A triumph --

Dan, this is your piece de resistance, a work of divine inspiration and a loving spirit. I can't envision further words, they wouldn't do this awesome poem justice, therefore, I stand down. :)

A stirring song of eternal love.  The pure truth of this love shines through the whole poem.  It weighs heavily on us -- but at the same time it buoys us up to new heights.  This is more than a poem.  It is life itself.  --David

What does one say after reading such a poem of deep emotions

that reach out with longing and that passion to have this kind of loyal love...

You have reach out as only you can do with your poetic language words of  loves greatest passion..

 Priceless  is this poem.... *****
